Open Orders and go to the Current orders tab.
Select the order you want to update to open its details.
Change the order status using the available actions — for example accepted, preparing, ready, or served — depending on where it is in your flow.
In Kitchen view, update individual dish lines as they are prepared instead of the whole order at once.
Confirm updates so staff and guests see the new status immediately. Guests who opted in receive SMS or WhatsApp updates automatically.
Consistent status updates do more than organize the kitchen: they drive the guest notifications and the live delivery tracking that cut down “where is my food?” calls.
Statuses are shared with guests in real time when they opt in to SMS or WhatsApp updates, so disciplined status updates double as customer service. An order marked ready exactly when it is ready prevents most “how much longer?” interruptions. Use the served status for dine-in once dishes hit the table: it closes the loop on timing analytics and keeps the board focused on what still needs attention.
