Kitchen view shows dishes line by line, grouped for preparation, instead of order by order. This is the view built for the pass or a kitchen display.
Update each dish line as it is prepared so front-of-house staff and guests see live progress without shouting across the kitchen.
Kitchen staff accounts land here automatically after login, so a dedicated tablet in the kitchen only ever shows this view.
Tip: mount a tablet or old laptop at the pass with kitchen view open — it replaces printed tickets and keeps the whole team on the same page.
Combine kitchen view with dish-level status updates and front-of-house always knows what is on the pass without asking. In noisy services this single habit removes most miscommunication between kitchen and floor — and guests get their status updates automatically. Kitchen view works on any screen size, but a dedicated device logged into a kitchen account is the cleanest setup — no owner permissions in the hot zone, and no accidental settings changes.
