How do I translate my menu?

  1. Open a category or dish for editing from Profile → Menu and scroll to the Translations section.
  2. Choose a language and enter the translated name and description. Each language is saved independently, so you can translate menu by menu at your own pace.
  3. Repeat for every language you want to support on the guest menu. Tourist-heavy venues usually start with English plus their two most common guest languages.
  4. Save your changes. Guests who pick that language in the menu's language selector see your translated text immediately.
  5. If a dish has no translation in the selected language, dinerr shows your default menu language for that item only — the rest of the menu stays translated.
  6. Prioritize best sellers, set menus, and allergen-critical dishes first; they get the most international traffic and the most questions.
  7. Keep translations consistent with how guests actually speak: dish names can stay in the original language when they are known internationally (think “Pad Thai”), while descriptions carry the translation. That mix reads naturally and avoids awkward menu copy.
