How do I add dish options or modifiers?

  1. Open a dish for editing from Profile → Menu and find the Customization options section.
  2. Click Add option and name the group, for example Size, Toppings, or Cooking point. Each group holds the choices guests pick from.
  3. Add the individual choices inside the group and set whether each one changes the price — enter the amount if it does.
  4. Decide whether the group is required (guest must choose, like a size) or optional (add-ons like extra cheese).
  5. Save the dish. Guests now see the options when ordering that item, and their selections print on the order in Current orders and kitchen view.
  6. Well-built option groups reduce special-request notes and speed up the kitchen, so prefer them over free text for anything you offer regularly.
  7. Priced options are also a quiet revenue lever: extras like avocado, truffle, or an upgraded side carry strong margins, and presenting them as one-tap choices sells far more than waiting for guests to ask. Review your option pricing a few times per year. Guests see surcharges transparently next to each option before they add it, so there are no surprises at checkout. That clarity alone reduces order disputes at the table.
