How do guests change the menu language?

  1. On the guest menu and cart, guests use the floating language selector to pick their preferred language. The selector is always visible, so tourists find it without help.
  2. Menu text appears in the chosen language wherever you have added translations under Profile → Menu → edit item → Translations — dish names, descriptions, and category names.
  3. If a translation is missing for a dish, dinerr falls back to your default menu language for that item only, so the menu never shows empty or broken text.
  4. Interface elements such as buttons, cart labels, and checkout steps are translated by dinerr itself and do not require any work from you.
  5. Tip: translate your best sellers and set menus first — these get the most views from international guests and deliver most of the value of a multilingual menu.
  6. Guests choose the language themselves — there is nothing to configure per guest. If you serve many international visitors, check Analytics to see which languages your guests actually use and prioritize those translations first. New languages can be added anytime as your crowd changes — a venue near a convention center might add Japanese one season and Spanish the next. Translations go live the moment you save them.
